Act as a liaison/partner between the Business Development Managers (BDM)team and other internal business Partners (Supply Chain [SC], Operations, Finance, Legal etc.)


Responsible for overall coordination of day to day CD operations including submission of Internal Operating Plan (IOP) targets, order cycle management and forecasting process alignment with demand planning team


Ensure new business set-ups (Customers, ship-to, products, pricing, supply networks, shipping lanes) are done timely.


Implement sales forecasts submission process as per standard process and timelines. Obtain cash-up, compare versus business plans and discuss mitigating actions with BDM teams to fill gaps.


Monitor actual sales, order book positions, supply commitments against plans, recommend actions to re-establish performance objectives in line with agreed targets.


Ensure timely and accurate capture of customer orders and periodic orders and supply reconciliations with customers.


Be a focal point of contact with customers for landing process improvement initiatives driven by CD as well as other partner functions - Supply Chain, Finance, Legal etc.






Credit Management


Implement “Fit for Purpose” payment term policies with customers. Periodically review Credit Limits to recommend changes to BDM teams and BU Directors to approve changes as may be necessary.


Follow up and resolve Credit Blocks to facilitate order processing.


Monitor Accounts Receivables (AR), participate in debtor’s reviews, follow up on overdue payments and ensure corrective actions are taken in case of discrepancies


Ensure customer claims are received with required supporting and processed efficiently. Ensure “Nil Claims” statements are signed off by customers as requested by Finance.




Trading Terms Management


Follow up to ensure timely accrual of all Trading Terms in the system by BDMs;


Ensure proper tracking of trading terms / promotions budget vs actual by BDMs/Finance.




New Product Distribution (NPD) process;


Monitor NPD networks timelines versus business plans. Highlight / Escalate bottlenecks identify impact on business plans due to delays in landing NPD networks to BU directors.


Own and lead CD related activities in the NPD networks in coordination with BDM teams.




Data Collection & Reporting


Provide support for Sales analytics, KPI monitoring and reporting.


Maintain information database for business unit: primary and secondary sales, distributors stocks, customer orders, case fill reports by territories / customers, Accounts receivables, customer claims, NPD networks statuses etc.






Communication, information, training


Manage and facilitate internal and external CD communication / assessments
