Team Overview



Our Singapore office is currently looking for creative and dynamic professionals for its Operations department. The Operations are involved in almost all major steps of the transaction lifecycle as well as new initiatives (products and services) and vendor management.




The Operations group in Singapore is to become the hub for the Asian Private Banking Business and will be responsible for the order execution, the trade booking and the settlement of transactions initiated by Private Clients in Asia.

Responsibilities:




Processing of global Equity, Fixed Income, FX & Money Market and Structured Products transactions and related pre-confirmations


Responsible for all daily trade activities including: trade confirmation, trade booking, failed trade management, etc...


Coordinate with various internal/external counterparts to ensure timely trade processing/settlement


Monitor control practices to ensure compliance with corporate and business standards


Monitor daily activities, ensuring market and internal deadlines are met, and escalate issues to the manager


Support daily administrative needs of the team





Qualifications




Bachelor's degree


Candidates with 5 years experience in a similar role


Good knowledge of financial products (Equities, Fixed Income, FX & MM, Structured Products etc)


Good interpersonal and communication skills


Good analytical and problem solving skills; detail oriented


A self-starter with ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision


Fluent in English


Adherence of operational procedures to complete task in an accurate and timely manner


A proactive approach to problem solving and taking ownership of issues


Team player and leadership skills


Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel; MS Access a plus

Business Control Managers (BCMs) are responsible for managing the end-to-end controls framework of each business in an efficient and robust way. Responsibilities












Governance, Supervision and Oversight of Business Controls







Governance - In partnership with Business Executives, establish and drive business control forums, ensuring agenda and materials effectively cover critical business operating risk




Oversight of end-to-end Business Controls - In partnership with Business Executives and groups supporting the business, oversee and ensure that the Business end to end Control environment is operating as intended.




This includes



Review and implement key firm wide policies on behalf of the Business


Identify and remediate control gaps


Executing ad hoc / analytical requests / control deep dives/ projects



Front Office supervision



Develop, review and implement Policies and procedures on Front Office Supervision


Develop, review and implement Supervisory tools


Facilitate the execution of various Supervisory attestations



Regulatory, Audits and Compliance Testing



Preparing the business for controls audits and testing as well as leading the coordination of business regulatory exams


Represent Front Office interests vis a vis control/regulatory initiatives






Execution of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF)





The ORMF provides the framework for the identification, evaluation, measurement and monitoring of operational risk.




Key components include:



Annual Risk & Control Self Assessment process


Timely identification, escalation and recording of operational errors


Timely review of incidents with key stakeholders to agree on root causes and delivery of appropriate remedial actions





Minimum 10+ years of Investment Banking or experience in finance sector


Good understanding of markets and trading products


Good attention to details along with an open and investigative mind-set, able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail


Strong analytical, problem solving & process re-engineering skills


Strong team player with excellent communication, partnering and influencing skill


Good organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks


Highly motivated self-starter
