You will collaborate with cross-Federation teams and across the globe to manage the firm's cash payments and receipts each day. You have a strong desire to learn about the firms different businesses and how they support our client and manage business risks, as well as work closely with a network of key banks and internal payments team to ensure smooth execution.

Treasury Services is a sub division of the Operations Division. As a global, multi-faceted and cross-product sub division, our primary objectives are to: lead the development of new payments-centric businesses, while building scale and improving agility to adapt to a rapidly changing payment landscape; act as a first line of defense for control and governance to protect firms financial assets; and incorporate differentiated client service to be best in class. Treasury Services is a growing subdivision globally, with regional presence in Singapore, Bengaluru, London, New Jersey, New York and Salt Lake City with all our offices working closely together as a global team.

The sub division has a rare opportunity to support products and businesses ranging across existing and new business lines, multiple payment types, and multiple client types, including institutional/franchise, consumer and corporate cash management sectors. We manage a wide range of complex processes, with members developing skills and competencies around cash management (payment controls, bank account management, settlements and reconciliations, claims), change management, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

•Manage a portfolio of cash payments and receipts; work with business units to monitor payment, credit and sanctions risk
•Manage and optimize operational flows for our three client sectors, including institutional/franchise flows, the expansion of our consumer offering as well as associated consumer payments, and operational support for the firm's new Corporate Cash Management business
•Actively assist to develop an overall payments strategy as the industry evolves alongside our business needs. The ideal individual will assist the management team to build our next generation capabilities in the payments space
•Oversight payment controls functions including sanctions control. Liaise with AML compliance team to resolve payment exception risk with excellent senior management exposure.
•Front line interaction with a network of key vendors across cash agent banks as well as central banks.
•Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the firm's books and records.
•Performing a number of payment control functions, ensuring the integrity of our process.
•Manage our daily cash payments and receipts for a particular portfolio.
•Work with internal business units to resolve cash settlement exceptions / issues.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in financial services
•Good organization and multi-tasking skills, ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining the attention to details
•Solid, detailed understanding of cash payments infrastructure such as SWIFT messages and various local clearing systems in Asia markets.
•Leveraging this payment knowledge, to work closely with our technology and project team to assist with payment system design and re-write
•Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail
•Committed, driven and self-motivated individual who constantly aim to improve the processes and enhance controls.
•Effective team-player with ability to impact and influence across organization and levelsPreferred Qualifications

•Native level fluency in Japanese to handle complex business documents and written and spoken communication
•Experience in managing Japanese clearing systems (BOJ, Zengin, FXYCS).

The Derivative Regulatory Operations group sits within Regulatory Operations and is responsible for ensuring Goldman Sachs is compliant to its non-financial reporting obligations and acts as the single point of contact for all regulatory related client engagements across Operations.

Accounting Services Division (ASD) is part of the Operations division of Goldman Sachs based at 3 offices across the globe (Singapore, Bengaluru and Dallas). The core functions of ASD are;

1) Accounts Payable - the processing and control of the payments to vendors/service providers the firm engages to run the businesses

2) Expense management - the settlement of employees' travel and entertainment expenses

We interact with the stakeholders from all the divisions in the firm and work effectively with our partner companies who support the operational processes/employee's expense programs. Current key focus in ASD is transforming the traditional manual processing to automated, scalable and self-service workflow in order to manage risks effectively and bring in commercial values to the firm.

In Singapore ASD, we interact with local vendors/banks in markets such as Japan, China, Korea etc where the local language capability is required to perform the functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

•Lead and manage local and multi-region projects along with the ability to adapt to the changing priorities
•Supervise the day-to-day processes of Accounts Payable and Travel and Entertainment expenses for Asia entities together with the manager and team leaders.
•Be the first point of escalation on exceptions and issues the team encounters. Effectively resolve them with front to back understanding of system/process workflow and implication of the issues.
•Plan and manage the team's coverage for day-to-day operation as well as project executions to achieve the department's goal and deliverables.
•Oversee the processes managed by vendors and effectively engage them for quality assurance.
•Partner with Travel and Entertainment expenses program provider and up keep the relationship with them
•Acquire in depth understanding of the regulations, tax handling and accounting controls in multiple jurisdictions in Asia associated with vendor/expense payments. Ensure the comprehensive procedures are in place in compliance with the Firm's Bank Holding Company requirements.
•Understand and ensure the team adheres the firm's policies on vendor governance, payment risk management and document controls.
•Risk Management - Continuously re-evaluate process controls and balance the risk versus benefits to protect the firm. Recommend and implement corrective & preventive actions for identified errors and issues
•Keeps pace with technical innovation and market driven initiatives across the team
•Conduct data analysis to identify the trend/root cases in order to effectively engage the stakeholders to address problems and opportunities for improvements

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years' relevant experience ( Accounts Payables, invoice/payment processing)
•Experience in leading a team to oversee day-to-day operations and coaching/mentoring others
•Effective team-player with ability to impact and influence across organization and levels
•Good organization and multi-tasking skills, ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while maintaining the attention to details
•Proven record of managing conflicts/complex issues with strong leadership, problem solving skills and effective communication

Liquidity & Collateral Operations (LCO) manages the operational elements for daily funding and liquidity of the firm, oversees the firm's payment strategy and overall cash flows and positions, and also performs key functions related to counterparty risk management, client transparency, and product and pricing data. In addition to the traditional line functions, LCO is home to Operations Technology Strategy and Reference Data Strategy, both of which focus on strategic process and technology solutions for the division and often the broader firm.

The Margin Lending Group, within Margin Valuations & Pricing Operations is responsible for margin risk monitoring supporting the Private Wealth Management (PWM) and Global Security Services (GSS) businesses. The successful candidate will work within a team focusing on monitoring margin exposure for the related accounts. This will involve interacting with Business Partners including Credit, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Projects across London, New York and Hong Kong.

The Margin Lending group focuses on a combination of day to day operational functions and value added projects and initiatives. From an early stage, we develop and expect our analysts to think creatively and 'outside the box' as well as improving the daily process and taking responsibility and ownership for this to happen.

We promote cross training and ensure our Analysts develop a broad level of understanding across the varied departmental functions carried out. Behind every trade executed, every new product launched, every market entered, and every transaction completed is an Operations team that develops the foundational processes and controls that make our business flow.

Within Securities Divisional Operations, the FX/Rates Sales and Trading Services team provides risk management by facilitating the intraday processing and exception management of trade breaks both internally and externally for FX/Rates products. Various operational reconciliations are performed on trade date and post trade date to ensure successful trade flow and books and records balancing. The team also executes various projects aimed at balance sheet optimization and gaining operational efficiency.

The team works closely with team members across regional and global offices to facilitate the above functions. The team support a cross section of products ranging from highly complex structured transactions to more vanilla trades. Individuals are required to develop a strong product, industry, and technical knowledge in order to facilitate the transaction flow and to anticipate and avoid potential trade problems. This position requires a high degree of communication with traders and salespeople in a fast paced setting and ongoing interaction with other Operations teams, Compliance, Credit, and Technology to resolve issues arising from trade execution, client queries, and new business.
