Securities Settlements is a front-to-back market-aligned team in Operations that, across multiple business lines, assess the risks associated with post trade settlement process including inventory management and exception management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The primary mission of Controllers is to ensure that the firm meets the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution.

Responsibilities

Proactive diary management, involving extensive meeting arrangements, co-ordination and planning

Booking of conference rooms, calls, audio visual, couriers

Co-ordinate challenging travel schedules and itineraries

Process expenses

Produce and collate documents (presentations for internal and client meetings, correspondence, reports)

Track team whereabouts, including timesheet entry and approval

Assist senior managers visiting from other office locations

Manage extensive call volume (place, receive and screen calls)

Liaise with other assistants to ensure smooth and consistent service at all times

Maintain records and document management and invoice processing for sign off

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5 years' experience as either a PA or Admin Assistant or equivalent in a financial services institution

BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW

Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) has primary responsibility for the execution of the firm's enterprise-wide Anti-Money Laundering (AML), anti-bribery, and government sanctions compliance programs and, among other things, performs enhanced due diligence and government sanctions screening , as well as surveillance and investigations designed to identify potential terrorist financing, money laundering, bribery, market abuse, or other suspicious activity.

FCC's team covering Asia-Pacific (APAC), which is primarily based in Singapore and Hong Kong, is seeking an experienced professional with relevant skills and experience to work in the FCC APAC investigations team, carrying out investigations to review all escalations received which may or may not require a report to a regulator/s. The various escalation sources include, however are not limited to, the business, subpoena enquiries, surveillance alerts and ad-hoc requests.

The individual will be expected to be able to identify and fully document in accordance with Goldman Sachs' written policies and procedures:

all forms of market abuse;

suspicious asset movements;

fraud; and

employee matters.Additional responsibilities may include:

management information reportin

enhancing policies and procedures;

training; and

working with internal audit when they conduct their reviews.To achieve this, the relevant candidate will be required to:

utilise a variety of internal and external systems and databases in order to complete investigations;

liaise with all other departments, when needed and if it is appropriate, in order to ensure a thorough investigation is completed;

present a summary and proposed conclusion to management in a timely and clear manner, including proposals to implement appropriate steps to mitigate risk and/or monitor it

Report suspicious activities to regulators.

YOUR IMPACT

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is a self-starter, who exudes energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm to join the firm's Compliance Testing Group to conduct forensic reviews of the various Divisions within the firm. In performing these reviews, the individual will use advanced testing techniques to check compliance with regulations and the firm's policies, procedures and compliance control infrastructure. This individual should be comfortable handling multiple projects and having daily interactions with senior members of the businesses, including sales and trading employees, investment bankers, portfolio managers, merchant bankers, and technologists.

The principal objective of the Compliance Testing Group ("CTG") is to create and execute detailed testing to assess compliance with regulations and firm policies, working closely with Compliance and business management to refine firm processes. The team has global reach (with locations in New York, Salt Lake City, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Bengaluru, and Hong Kong) and is comprised of individuals with varying backgrounds and experience (former auditors, accountants, regulators, prosecutors, compliance professionals, lawyers and traders).

Responsibilities

Propose methods of testing and execute plans discussed and agreed with a team leader

Gather data, perform analyses and document results

Identify potential compliance and reputational risks, and effectively escalate to appropriate individuals

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge of financial products, markets and regulatory policies

Knowledge of the securities business and sales practices

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, or Korean preferred as the candidate will be working with documentation in these languages

GS provides clients with market leading technology for execution of FX and commodity products, as well as advanced and innovative order functionality. 90% of the tickets in GSFX are dealt electronically which equates to 70% of the volume.
