Maintain, organize, and archive project files during and at the close of a project

Assist with other duties as necessary (i.e. site visits, lighting mock-up installation, record drawings, etc.)

Responsibilities as Product Manager:

Identify and develop new product and market opportunities

Make recommendations on strategic direction into markets, product modifications and/or improvements based on market research, customer feedback, and information gained through sales team members. Lead product line reviews when appropriate.

Lead efforts in category related market research; create and maintain detailed competitor product reviews. Conduct extensive competitive product research and benchmarking.

Manage the complete product lifecycle process, alongside the Director from concept to delivery

Develop and execute comprehensive short and long term strategic plans for a profitable commercial and industrial lighting product portfolio.

Manage cost analysis efforts for new and current products as well as line extensions.

Evaluate products and technologies from potential partners and competitors

Participate in industry tradeshows and other key market events.

Work with marketing to develop various marketing campaigns and collateral

Support project team in BOM and specifications review to identify product and supplier options

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Design (Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design or development experience in lighting industry is a must).

Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Project or Product management within the lighting industry.

Must have a strong understanding of lighting technologies and lighting control.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees and customers at all levels.

Must possess ability to facilitate and hold high level presentations.

Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Must be able to identify problems, make recommendations, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Broad understanding of relevant networking technologies and lighting control systems

Self-starter with proven ability to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects.

Ability to be hands-on and travel occasionally to job sites to see how our products are getting installed/applied and be able to translate that experience into a better product.

Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to brainstorm and formulate alternatives

Knowledge in using any 2D & 3D Software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, 3Ds Max, Cinema 4D, Rhino), Lighting Simulation Software (Agi32, Relux, Dialux), Photo-Editing Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
